Coconut Cold Pressed Oil
Pure Coconut Oil, Traditionally Cold Pressed – Single Extraction Only
Ingredients and source and popularity of the grain
Our Coconut Cold Pressed Oil is made using carefully selected mature coconuts traditionally used across Indian coastal regions for cooking, wellness, and daily household use. We extract our oil using a single-press method and do not repeatedly process the oil cake for additional extraction, unlike many lower-quality alternatives available in the market.
The coconuts are sourced through trusted intermediaries from established coconut-growing regions of India such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and parts of Karnataka, known for oil-rich kernels, clean aroma, and consistent oil quality.
Coconut oil is valued for its natural stability, mild coconut aroma, and high content of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), particularly lauric acid. Cold pressing helps retain these natural components and antioxidants, unlike refined coconut oils that undergo high heat and deodorization, which strip away aroma and natural character.
Taste, Color, Texture, flavor and usage instructions
This oil has a mild, natural coconut aroma with a clean taste and smooth texture. It is clear to pale yellow in liquid form and naturally solidifies below ~24°C, which is a normal characteristic of pure coconut oil.
It performs well at regular Indian cooking temperatures and is suitable for both cooking and non-cooking applications. Coconut oil can be used directly without smoking and does not overpower food.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after use.
In general, all cold pressed oils in 1-litre measurement may weigh slightly less than 1 kg, and weight can vary depending on seed type, extraction method, and weather conditions.
People wise Suitability
Suitable for everyday household use for all age groups. Preferred by people who like light flavor oils, coastal cuisines, or multipurpose oils suitable for cooking, personal care, and traditional uses. Not positioned for specific medical or therapeutic dietary requirements. Consumption should be based on individual dietary understanding and preference.
Allergen
Contains coconut.
Processed in a facility that also handles mustard seeds, groundnuts, sesame seeds, gluten-containing grains, soya, legumes, and nuts. While there is physical segregation between units, they are not air-locked.
Disclaimer
Natural variations in aroma, flavor, and appearance may occur due to seasonal changes in coconuts. This is a natural characteristic of cold pressed oils.
In cooler temperatures, coconut oil may solidify or appear cloudy. This is completely normal and does not affect quality or safety.
In some cases, a thin layer of natural particles may settle at the bottom due to sedimentation, indicating minimal processing and purity.

Cold Pressed Oil vs Refined Oil – What’s the Real Difference?
1. Extraction Method
Cold Pressed Oils (Chakki Peesing)
Extracted at controlled low temperatures using mechanical pressure only. Single-press extraction ensures oil is taken once and oil cake is not reused.
Wood Pressed Oils (Other Alternatives)
May face challenges related to temperature control, hygiene, oxidation risk, and batch inconsistency.
Refined Oils
Produced using high heat, chemical solvents, bleaching agents, and deodorization, significantly altering the oil’s natural composition.
2. Fat Profile
Coconut oil is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), contributing to its stability and shelf life. Cold pressing preserves these natural fats and aroma.
3. Cholesterol & Fat Quality
Cold pressed oils:
- Contain no added trans fats
- Avoid hydrogenation and chemical modification
-
Support better dietary fat quality when used in moderation
Note: No oil reduces cholesterol on its own. Benefits depend on overall diet and lifestyle.
4. Single Press vs Multiple Extraction
At Chakki Peesing:
- Oil is extracted once
- Oil cake is not reprocessed
-
Ensures better purity, aroma, and nutritional integrity
5. Taste & Cooking Behaviour
Cold pressed coconut oil retains its natural aroma and clean flavor, making it ideal for both cooking and traditional uses. Refined oils are deodorised and lack depth.
